Gianni Neil, MD

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Neil is responsible for managing ChenMed’s doctors and continuing to provide safe, effective medical services to our patients.

Dr. Neil joined ChenMed in 2013 as a PCP at our Lauderhill location in Broward County, FL. Dr. Neil has also served ChenMed as Associate Chief Medical Officer and Market Chief Medical Officer in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Most recently, Dr. Neil served as the Chief Medical Officer at JenCare within the ChenMed family of companies. During her tenure at ChenMed, Dr. Neil has influenced the expansion of the Broward market and helped launch the Palm Beach market. She has also led culture turnarounds, improved clinical outcomes through reduction in admissions and hired and retained top level clinical talent.

Prior to joining ChenMed, Dr. Neil served at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston for three years. While there, she worked within the fee-for-service model and struggled with the concept as she felt the healthcare system should be doing more for sick patients.

Dr. Neil is originally from Kingston, Jamaica and immigrated to the United States in the late 1980s. She received her bachelor’s degree in medicine from the University of Miami, and her medical degree from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Neil completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, TX.

Dr. Neil enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Paul, and their four children. She also teaches Sunday school and leads a women’s spiritual group. Dr. Neil enjoys reading books on leadership and loves to travel.
