Alexandria Beranger, M.D. | ChenMed National Director of Quality and Patient Experience

A distinguished and compassionate clinician, thought leader and educator, Alexandria Beranger, MD, is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and serves as National Director of Quality and Patient Experience at ChenMed, one of the country’s leading primary care providers for seniors. Dr. Beranger is an advocate for affordable, quality patient care and education that empowers seniors to take an active role in their health and quality of life.

Dr. Beranger began her career at ChenMed as a vital member of its Quality Improvement and Patient Safety division. Demonstrating clinical expertise and communications acumen with her peers, she quickly rose through the ranks to the role of Regional Chief Clinical Officer, before assuming her current role. Prior to ChenMed, Dr. Beranger worked in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine Research at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. 

With a specialty in primary care, Dr. Beranger earned a bachelor of science degree at the University of Florida-Gainesville, with an emphasis in Rehabilitative Services. She earned her medical degree in 2009 at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine at St. John’s, Antigua. Dr. Beranger did her residency in Internal Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She also honed her skills while serving as Chief Resident in Quality Improvement & Patient Safety, in the Internal Medicine division at Miami Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Throughout her career, Dr. Beranger has demonstrated a commitment to her community. During the pandemic, she volunteered her time and skills at five COVID-19 clinics in communities across Broward County. She also provided medical assistance to Haitians in 2015.

Dr. Beranger is a member of the American College of Physicians and has earned Internal Medicine awards for excellence in Inpatient Medicine and in Quality Improvement. In addition to teaching and mentoring future clinicians, Dr. Beranger has had medical articles published in several peer-reviewed journals.
